Check out the two-part interview with John Edwards at TMPmedia, wherein the former senator makes a lot of sense and says a lot of things that need to be said. Of course, that’s no way to get elected president.
I think he’s got the right combination of experience, skill and intelligence to do the job. Most major media outlets seem to have decided this is a two-way race, though. And the vicious cycle of polls and coverage obscures the content of the campaigns. He’s neither new-and-exciting (like Obama) nor narratively scintillating (like Hillary) and if he’s polling third, even though he is a major candidate, he won’t get the media play.
