I’m trying to remain dispassionate and analytical about these things, but this just gave me a moment of joy. Rueful, to be sure, but joy nonetheless. I’m hoping (perhaps against hope) that this means a real political discourse might somehow be salvageable once the current era has passed. Of course, it might mean only that it takes two terms before the country figures these con artists out. But I’m going with glass half-full tonight. Chris Bowers at MyDD has the goods.
